Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE 02 MAY 2026 · VERSION 1.0

BQT Consulting respects the privacy of visitors to bqtconsulting.xyz and of the individuals we work with through client engagements. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

01 — Who is responsible

The data controller is BQT Consulting, a Dominican Republic-based engineering firm. For privacy questions, contact contact@bqtconsulting.xyz.

02 — What we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details (name, business email, phone) when you reach out via email or a form.
  • Engagement information (company, role, project context) shared during a brief or SOW.
  • Authentication details if you access a private system we host on your behalf.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Our web server logs the IP address, user-agent, request path, response status, and timestamp of each request. These are retained for up to 30 days and used for operational diagnostics and abuse prevention.
  • Cookies. The marketing site (this domain at the root) does not set tracking cookies. Authenticated areas (e.g. /login) set strictly necessary session cookies for sign-in.
  • Third-party fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of the request. See Google's privacy policy for details.

03 — How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and manage engagements you initiate with us.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website and the systems we host for clients.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to defend our legal rights where necessary.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not use your data to train models without express consent.

04 — Legal basis

Where applicable law requires it, we rely on the following bases: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and securing our services; compliance with legal obligations; and, where required, your consent (which you may withdraw at any time).

05 — Sharing & sub-processors

We share personal data only with vendors strictly needed to operate our services, under written confidentiality and data-processing terms. Typical categories include:

  • Infrastructure hosting (compute, storage, DNS, TLS issuance).
  • Email delivery for transactional and engagement correspondence.
  • Professional advisors (accounting, legal) where required.

We may disclose information to comply with a lawful order, to protect the rights, property, or safety of BQT or others, or in connection with a corporate transaction (with notice where feasible).

06 — International transfers

We may process personal data outside the Dominican Republic, including in jurisdictions that may not offer the same level of protection as your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

07 — Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, plus any legal retention requirements. Contact information from enquiries is kept for up to 24 months unless an engagement is formed; engagement records are kept for the duration of the engagement plus seven (7) years for tax and compliance reasons.

08 — Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls on a need-to-know basis, hardened infrastructure, and audit logging on production systems. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use strong unique credentials and report suspected vulnerabilities to contact@bqtconsulting.xyz.

09 — Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email contact@bqtconsulting.xyz. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

10 — Children

Our services are intended for institutional and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11 — Changes

We may update this policy. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be notified by a clear banner on this page or by email where appropriate.

12 — Contact
